Those who have passed after January 1, 2009 or will appear (till August, 2010) for Masters (M.Sc./M.Tech./M.V.Sc.) in Biotechnology (various branches, namely General, Agriculture, Medical, Marine, Industrial, Animal, Plant and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology and Bioprocess Technology), Bioinformatics, Molecular Human Genetics offered at BHU, Human Genomics offered at Panjab University, Neuroscience offered at Jiwaji University, NBRC and TIFR, and B.Tech. Biotechnology (4-year course) recognized by UGC/AICTE are eligible for this award. Candidate should have passed the qualifying exam after 1st Jan 2009 or should appear by 31st Aug 2010. The applicant should be below the age 28 years (33 years in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH category and women candidates) as on 31st Aug 2010. 60 % or equivalent CGPA 55 % or equivalent CGPA
